What is BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular?

The first ever BUST Magazine Christmas Craftacular is to take place in London on Dec 6th...Don’t miss out!

Bringing together the best alternative crafters selling their wares, live demonstrations, DJs, drinks and live music, it’s the ultimate pre-Christmas shopping, crafting, music and dancing extravaganza!

From 12pm - midnight you can down a pint as you shop for the best in handmade gifts. Also try your hand at making your own cool crafts or get involved with the Artyarn guerilla graffiti knitting crew. Then slip into the gold lame shorts you just made and dance into the night with the help of DJs Shelia B (Cherry Bomb), the Vinyl Vendettas (featuring Radio 1's Bethan Elfyn), DJ Felson and other special guests…

BUST Magazine will be hand-picking over 25 of the most unique and talented crafters from across the UK to attend. We have just opened the call for vendors and you can apply here:

When and where will BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular take place?

The Craftacular will take place on Saturday December 6 from 12 PM – 11 PM at St Aloysius Social Club in Euston, London.

How do I get to the St. Aloysius Social Club?

St Aloysius Social Club is located on Phoenix Road, London NW1, a short walk from Euston underground station.

How do I participate as a vendor?

Fill out our online vendor application, which can be found here . Applications will only be accepted online and must be submitted by November 14, 2008.

The fee for a booth is £45 and may be paid online once you have been accepted as a vendor. We will notify all applicants on November 19, 2008 of their status.  If you are accepted as a vendor, the full booth fee of £45 will be due by November 24, 2008.  All fees are non-refundable.

How will the vendors be determined?

Due to space limitations, vendors will be selected on the basis of quality and uniqueness of wares.

What type of booths will be provided?

Your booth fee of  £45 will get you one table and two chairs. There may be a small amount of floor-standing rack space around your table, but there is no guarantee of this. Please make sure to plan accordingly. Booth fees will be accepted online.

What kind of crafts do you accept?

We’re looking for any and all edible/wearable/loveable crafts you’ve got. That includes silk-screened items, cosmetics, knitwear, jewelry, paper goods, handbags, cards, and tons more!

How will set-up and closing operate?

Vendors can arrive at the St Aloysius Social Club as early as 11 AM on Saturday December 6, but must arrive no later than 11:30 AM. Vendors must be ready to begin sales promptly at 12 PM and cannot close before 11 PM.

Is electricity provided?

Electricity will be provided.

Do I need a vendor’s permit?

You are responsible for registering your small business with the Inland Revenue.

How will BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular be promoted?

BUST Magazine's Holiday Craftacular will be promoted with postcards, posters, e-mail blasts to local and national mailing lists, press releases, advertising placement on craft websites, and listings in local press.

BUST will also provide all vendors with banner ads to help get the word out on BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular.

What kinds of information will be listed on BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular website?

In addition to the online vendor application and FAQs, BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular website will list all participating vendors. Once you are notified of your acceptance, please provide us with gif or jpeg banner of your craft company logo. Banner ads should be 120 pixels wide x 60 pixels tall. Banners may animate, but cannot be in flash format. No java script. Please keep banner under 50 k. And be sure to let us know where to link the banner. Banner ads should be emailed to craftacular-uk@bust.com no later than November 30.
