What is BUST Magazine's London Summer Craftacular?

Following the success of the Christmas event, the BUST Magazine Summer Craftacular will take place in London on Aug 22nd...Don¹t miss out! Bringing together the best alternative crafters selling their wares, with live demonstrations, DJs and drinks, it's the ultimate summer shopping, crafting, music and dancing extravaganza!

From 12pm – 8pm you can down a pint or sip a spritzer as you shop for the best in handmade gifts, crafts and essential summer accessories. BUST Magazine will be hand-picking over 55 of the most unique and talented crafters from across the UK to attend. We have just opened the call for vendors and you can apply here:

When and where will BUST Magazine's London Summer Craftacular take place?

The Craftacular will take place on Saturday August 22nd at York Hall, Bethnal Green.

How do I get to the York Hall?

York Hall is located on 5-15 Old Ford Rd, Bethnal Green London, E2 9PJ– a 1 minute walk from Bethnal Green underground station (Central Line). Directly opposite the Museum of Childhood.

How do I participate as a vendor?

Fill out our online vendor application, which can be found here. Applications will only be accepted online and must be submitted by July 13th 2009.
The fee for a booth is £70 and may be paid online once you have been accepted as a vendor. We will notify all applicants of their status by July 17th 2009. If you are accepted as a vendor, the full booth fee of £70 will be due by July 24th 2009. All fees are non-refundable.

How will the vendors be determined?

Due to space limitations, vendors will be selected on the basis of quality and uniqueness of wares.

What type of booths will be provided?

Your booth fee of £70 will get you one table and two chairs. There may be a small amount of floor-standing rack space around your table, but there is no guarantee of this. Please make sure to plan accordingly. Booth fees will be accepted online.

What kind of crafts do you accept?

We’re looking for any and all wearable/loveable crafts you’ve got. That includes silk-screened items, cosmetics, knitwear, jewelry, paper goods, handbags, cards, and tons more!

How will set-up and closing operate?

Vendors can arrive at York Hall as early as 11 AM on Saturday August 22nd, but must arrive no later than 11:30 AM. Vendors must be ready to begin sales promptly at 12 PM and cannot close before 8 PM.

Is electricity provided?

Electricity will be provided.

Do I need a vendor’s permit?

You are responsible for registering your small business with the Inland Revenue.

How will BUST Magazine's London Summer Craftacular be promoted?

BUST Magazine's London Summer Craftacular will be promoted with postcards, posters, e-mail blasts to local and national mailing lists, press releases, advertising placement on craft websites, and listings in local press.

BUST will also provide all vendors with banner ads to help get the word out on BUST Magazine's London Summer Craftacular.

What kinds of information will be listed on BUST Magazine's London Summer Craftacular website?

In addition to the online vendor application and FAQs, BUST Magazine's London Summer Craftacular website will list all participating vendors. Once you are notified of your acceptance, please provide us with gif or jpeg banner of your craft company logo. Banner ads should be 120 pixels wide x 60 pixels tall. Banners may animate, but cannot be in flash format. No java script. Please keep banner under 50 k. And be sure to let us know where to link the banner. Banner ads should be emailed to craftacular-uk@bust.com no later than August 5.
