NBC is catching on to the universal undeniable appeal of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and has finally made our dreams come true. Tina and Amy are confirmed as the hosts for the Golden Globes for the next two years!

Apparently the terrible twosome does wonders for ratings and exceeded previous host, Ricky Gervais. It is a testament to their comedic prowess that they are already booked for two more years. Amy and Tina’s brilliant hosting drew 19.7 million viewers this year. Although this is not the fist time a woman has hosted, it is great to see powerful ladies proving that what the world wants is TWO POWERFUL BADASS LADIES.

Usually awards shows underwhelm me. I stare at a bunch of pretty dresses completely unenthused, fall asleep during parts, and there are way too many commercials for my taste. I am looking forward to awards shows where the hosts know how to entertain. Being a host entails plenty of offensive jokes at others expense, but to pull it off in a way that isn’t cheap is the sign of a great host.

HELLO AMY AND TINA.

Be still my heart….
