RISA MICKENBERG is the lead singer, lyricist/co-songwriter and sole female of the NYC band JESUS H CHRIST & the FOUR HORNSMEN of the APOCALYPSE, an eight-piece power pop, rock, cabaret band with an all-Broadway horn section.
Musically, the band is a cross between The Who, Zappa and The Mothers, Ween and Weezer, but the characters and content of these songs have more in common with the frank honesty and black comedy of fiction writers like Lorrie Moore, Dorothy Parker, Dawn Powell and the self-deprecating comedy of Tina Fey and Amy Sedaris.
