“My aspiration in life, is to be happy” begins Beyoncé’s song “Pretty Hurts” off her album BEYONCÉ. Apparently her aspiration is to make quite a lot of other people happy as well.

On June 3rd CHIME FOR CHANGE co-founder Beyoncé Knowles-Carter presented a $125,0000 donation to Embrace Innovations to provide 320 Embrace infant warmers to 100 rural health facilities in 11 Millennium Village sites across 10 countries in sub-Saharan Africa (Mali, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi and Ethiopia). The Embrace infant warmers will help about 1,900 at-risk newborns to grow up healthy, strong and flawless.

These infant warmers, invented by TED fellow Jane Chen, not only make your babies look like adorable lil caterpillars, but will also save lives in a safe, sterile and cost-effective way. Also, who doesn't love seeing women working together to help other women.

Chen says that “a mother will do anything to save her child” and with her newfound motherhood, Beyoncé clearly agrees, as she helps to secure these children’s destinies.
