Karen O is a Wild Thing

There's been a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming release of the movie 'Where The Wild Things Are' (Oct. 16), based on the beloved children's picture book. The trailer above is wholly riveting and moving, helped along by the use of Arcade Fire's 'Wake Up'. The movie's soundtrack is no doubt going to be equally effective seeing as Karen O will be lending it her unique touch with a little help from her friends, her fellow bandmates from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bradford Cox (Deerhunter), Dean Fertita (QOTSA, the Dead Weather, the Raconteurs), Jack Lawrence (the Dead Weather, the Raconteurs), Aaron Hemphill (Liars) and Greg Kurstin (the Bird and the Bee), among others, including the voices of children from an untrained choir.

The soundtrack will be released earlier than the movie, on September 29th, and the artists will be credited as 'Karen O and the Kids' (cute, isn't it?) -Sylvie

I loved this book growing up, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are one of my favorite groups. This is more exciting than if Harry Potter teamed up with Twilight and Lord of the Rings!
