I woke up reeeeeaaaallllly early today so I could contribute to a supercool segment on the WNYC morning radio show The Takeaway. It was all about The Runaways and how the film compares to other great girl band movies. We talked about Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, and even threw in some girl band movie trivia! If you missed the magic - don't fret. And while we're on the subject, what are your favorite girl band movies of all time? (Don't even think about bringing up Lea Thompson's band in Howard the Duck.)

"Satisfaction" was pretty good, And though there was only 1 girl in it "Rock My Word" with Alicia Silverstone. Oh! And Josie and The Pussycats!
