Mario Tama, Coming Back: New Orleans Resurgent

Though it seems to have been left in the dust, what with all the other natural disasters these days, the story of Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans is still unfolding. Few have captured the aftermath as well as Getty Images photographer Mario Tama. Come check out his new exhibition, Coming Back: New Orleans Resurgent, at the Umbrage Gallery in Brooklyn, NY from July 8th to September 14th. Tama's photos showcase not only the interruption of a culture and ruin of a landscape, but the optimism of a people with hope to rebuild.
