Once upon a time, we were taking a glimpse at “The World of Tomorrow.” We were stuffing the most logical items of which we could think into a time capsule; the words of Albert Einstein, minutes catalogued by the arms of Mickey Mouse, stacks of Life Magazine, seeds for growth and nourishment. We were showcasing the excitement of air conditioning, nylon, color photos, the View-Master, and Smell-O-Vision. Once upon a time, we were seeing what the future had to offer at the World’s Fair.
On September 25th and 26th, adventures will be had once again on the very same World’s Fair Grounds in Queens. The BUST Magazine Craftacular is taking part in the first-ever World Maker Faire NY! Organized by the folks at Make magazine, as well is makezine.com and craftzine.com, World Maker Faire NY will be a two-day, interactive, family-friendly affair overflowing with the energy of crafters, makers, movers and shakers, designed to make you head on home and bust out your toolbox and utilize them hands and brains. Exhibits will range anywhere from Robotics, Rockets and RC Toys to Radios, Vintage Computers and Game Systems to Sustainability and Green Tech to Puppets and Kites and Bicycles. (Oh my!)
