Last Monday, with the help of the iHeartRadio stations, the Empire State Building rocked out to some Alicia Keys, specifically, “Girl on Fire,” and “Empire State of Mind.” It was the first synchronized light show of its kind to hit the façade of the Empire State Building.  Click here to see the breathtaking light show in its entirety. Look how the lights move to the beat!

I can’t think of a more appropriate artist to serenade this city. It was a truly uplifting performance after Hurricane Sandy, when half of the Manhattan skyline was literally turned off.  This concrete jungle is making up for some lost time after that historical week when it felt like the world was on fire. Keys is also performing on 12.12.12 at Madison Square Garden to raise money for victims of the hurricane.
