If you’re getting married soon, or know someone who is, and you’re in or around Philadelphia on January 10, you should check out the Unbridaled Wedding Expo.
Unbridaled focuses on the alternative, the handcrafted, the creative, fun, and offbeat. Cosponsored by the Philly Roller Girls, the expo features local, eco-friendly vendors to make a wedding unique.
Last year’s event featured a fashion show with roller girls as models, a pole-dancing demonstration, and free samples of vegan wedding cakes, cupcakes, and beer provided by Philly’s Memphis Taproom. Jewelry and fashion designers, tattoo artists, fire spinners, florists, photographers, corset-makers, and printers are there to show off their wares and give you ideas for your wedding. (Full vendor list here.)
Even if you aren’t getting married (I’m certainly not) anytime soon, the fashion show, snacks, and music are worth checking out.
In the slight chance you missed BUST’s October/November issue, Lisa B. did a fantastic feature on canning that inspired me to do some canning and preserving of my own! This raspberry, fig and port wine jam was a huge hit at Christmas. Making it was so much easier than I thought it’d be and made great gifts. And although the holiday season is just about over, it’s always a sweet idea to have some homemade jam on hand for fresh baked muffins and biscuits. If you missed the October issue, no worries, you can still get a copy in the Boobtique. In it you’ll find all the steps and tips necessary to making your own yummy canned goods. And P.S., you may have noticed that the label in the pic says by Sonrisa, that’s me! It’s a nickname some friends gave me a couple years ago. Now can it!

Now, I’ve heard of crocheted vibrator cozies and knitted ipod cases, but this is ridonculous. Spotted in Mexico city by Knithacker. Pretty psychedelic.
Remember those scary ass puppets Blade, Pinhead and Leech Woman from the cheesy 90’s Puppet Master movies? I just found them dates.
Sara Lanzillotta of Devout Dolls handcrafts and paints freaky looking two-headed dolls that would give Tim Burton goosebumps! She’s also got a whole menagerie of two-headed animals, including monkeys, kitties and bats.
Is it totally wrong that I want to mail Ozzy Osbourne one of the two-headed bats?

We will be at the Metropolitan Pavilion, at 18th street between 6th and 7th ave. from 10 am till 7:30. You can take the F, V to 14th and 6th, or any train to Union Square. Aside from all the fantastic crafters to shop from, there will be Two Boots Pizza, Babycakes baked good (yeah) and beer served from 3-7. It will be epic, so please come!
I had an action packed whirlwind of a weekend in London, where I attended the first ever London based BUST Craftacular! I arrived Friday and went immediately to Top Shop to scope it out. It was sort of a much bigger and trendier H+M, and not as cheap, but they did have alot of cool stuff. I can’t wait for it to come to NYC-hurry up, man!

Ever since the invention of tampon cases, I have had to worry about
one less embarrassment in life (still waiting for the day they invent
a skirt that doesn’t get caught in my tights.) Now, thanks to Eleven
Eleven I will never have to worry when my bubby loots my purse for
mints. Pick up one of these sly condom covers at the LA Craftacular.
