Coconut, raspberry, cucumber, blueberry, pomegranate…this isn’t a menu for some fabulous hangover-cure shake, these are just some of the organic, “wild-crafted” ingredients for the multi-tasking face balm produced by Lee-Lai Natural Skincare.
Lee-Lai Natural Skincare was created in Brooklyn by Cyan Bonacci, a self proclaimed “lover of herbs, botanicals, and all things organic.” She uses quality (and pronounce-able) ingredients in her skincare line. The line caters to the city gal who needs her shelf space. All her products are multi-taskers, just like us!
Her face balm is the Swiss Army Knife of face balms. It helps clear skin, works as a make-up remover and can be reapplied as a moisturizer. The Juniper Berry Face Cleansing Tonic uses alcohol-free witch hazel so it won’t dry you out. It also claims to smooth and prevent fine lines so that no one will be able to tell just what kind of face you made at that taxi that didn’t stop.
Bonacci puts out a Detoxifying Sea Clay Face Polish & Masque as well. This bad boy is meant to draw out all of that city gunk from your pores while evening your skin tone. (I don’t know why but I keep thinking of the bad guy in FernGully, but on my face…) The products cost a pretty penny but they aren’t diluted with water, so a little goes a long way. They also come in cute little glass containers that are totes reusable after they have offered up their goods. Plus they will class up your medicine cabinet.
You can find out where to buy Lee-Lai Skincare online here or you can check it out in person at the BUST Magazine Holiday Craftacular on December 1st and 2nd at 82 Mercer Street in SoHo anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Hopefully there will be some of her badass bath soaks ‘cause I will need them after the holidays!
