Last week I received a new comedy CD of Tig Notaro doing stand up from the fine folks over at Secretly Canadian entitled Good One (out Aug. 2). I wasn't very familiar with her, but I will say after listening, I am an insta-fan! Her delivery is slow, dry and fairly sarcastic, I guess she's pals with Sarah Silverman and has been on a bunch of tv shows, in any case, I'm looking forward to seeing more from Tig! Why are Joan Jett and Cherie Currie suing Main Man records over a Runaways tribute album slated for release later this month? According to Main Man's site, portions of the proceeds of Take It or Leave It, which includes 2 cds full of prominent rockers covering Runaways classics, are going to the American Institute for Cancer Research in memory of Sandy West, former Runaways drummer, who lost her fight with cancer in 2006.
