Damien Jurado and Richard Swift have a very special working relationship. The two aren’t only collaborators; they’re apparently one another’s spirit animals. On Jurado’s new song “Nothing is the News” you can hear the duo’s outsider tendencies. The guitar wails as Jurado sings in a trippy fog forming his own reverbed choir. The song’s psychedelic feel sort of makes you want to start swaying, preferably in an open field. Tie-dye might be involved.

Give the song a listen and download it here.

Look for Jurado’s new album, Maraqopa, due out February 21 on Secretly Canadian.
