While watching Hallmark's I Love Lucy marathon in honor of Lucille Ball's 100th birthday yesterday, I found myself swooning over Lucy's outfits. Her ensembles are classic, of course, but many of the elements (sheer, lace, sweetheart necklines, polka dots, tea-length hems, etc.) seem to be particularly on-trend at the moment. So much so, that I easily could compile a look from several stores mimicking her signature looks.

Perhaps the most iconic outfit is this polka-dot dress which was worn in at least 25 episodes:

While you could probably find something pretty similar in a vintage store, this dress from Ruche is an awfully cute modern take:

Add a skinny belt and these supercute shoes:

Chelsea Crew Susan oxford heels from Ruche

This next outfit was featured in six episodes, and takes several pieces to complete. Take a few minutes to watch the comedic genius going down in this clip from when the gang went to L.A.:

From American Apparel:

AA Lace shirt

AA Tube Bra

AA Mid-Length Circle Skirt

Instead of a neck-bow, drop it down to your waist like Lucy often wore:

The Sash

Old Hollywood Fascinator (from Modcloth)

AA Tassel Loafers

I'm having troubles finding a good screenshot, but Lucy wore a lot of beautiful tailored pants and jackets, similar to these Modcloth items:

Even Greater British Blazer

This Lavender Sandies Top combines all of the classic Lucy elements: sheer, bows, polka-dots, and a collar!

These Keeping Calm pants are on sale for $25! Add the shoes from AA.

Or, you could always just cut a few holes in a potato sack and plop a lampshade on your head and call it a day:

From the "Lucy Gets a Paris Gown" 1956 episode.
