Coming up this June 16th, Best Coast and Those Darlins will be playing a Planned Parenthood of New York City Action Fund benefit! Now only are we big fans of both bands over here at BUST, this is a cause that has been and stays near and dear our hearts. Personally, when my insurance decided not to cover birth control unless for medical reasons (versus my “crazy and wild” sex life), Planned Parenthood was there to provide birth control I could afford. That’s just one story in a million. 1 in 5 American women have been to a Planned Parenthood health center at some point in her life! Reproductive health rights are something worth fighting for and while the adorable Best Coast and Those Darlins are my favorite bands of the moment, the best part of this show is the fact that 100% of ticket sales go directly to benefit Planned Parenthood's political advocacy efforts.
