One of our favorite artists, Ann Magnuson, is working on a musical and spoken-word tribute to Jobriath, the fantastic but almost forgotten glam rocker from the 70s, and she's looking for pledges to help her and her collaborators finish the project. Click here for all the info, and to read about the goodies you can receive for donating to this awesome project. (Big spenders could score a rad pair of vintage size 7 Miu Mius, but you can pledge as little as $3 bucks-- c'mon, it's for art!)
I love Jobriath and Ann actually turned me on to his music way back in the early 90s, when we first met. If you're not familiar with Ann and her work with Bongwater, her solo albums, or her acting roles in awesome 80s hits like The Hunger or Making Mr. Right, then get to Googling, stat!
Ann's a performance-art genius, as well as an accomplished musician (you old time BUST readers may remember when she graced our cover way back in 1999) and this project promises to be great.
