I love drag. I always have; when I was about five years old I apparently watched the classic drag movie The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert so often that the tape of the VHS wore out. A teen drama without any thin actresses...
OMFG.
For the past few weeks I’ve been constantly passing this ad (left) for the new ABC Family series Huge.
And each time I see it, I feel a weird mix of emotions.
On one hand, the ad features a plus sized girl (Hairspray’s Nikki Blonsky) in a bathing suit. On the other hand, she looks depressed and is trying to cover her stomach.

Apparently, Oprah received some flak for not having Sarah Palin on her show during the presidential election. Oprah states that Palin's team never asked for her to be on the show and besides, why should they have? They probably knew like the rest of us that lady O was a huge Obama supporter from the start.

Now in it's 9th year, the Bicycle Film Festival is out to prove that peddle pushing isn't just a passing trend. Much like the number of two-wheelers seen on the street, it's becoming unstoppable.
