"New Orleans Rising" will be a dynamic evening of film, discussion, and music. On the 3rd anniversary of Hurricane Katrina we will take this opportunity to remember New Orleans and what has become of the city since.
Siren Nation proudly presents:
"Finding Common Ground"--a short documentary by PDX filmmaker Walidah Imarisha
PLUS several shorts by New Orleans women filmmakers.
Panel discussion moderated by S. Renee Mitchell w/Walidah Imarisha, Shane Endicott (ReBuilding Center), Connie Durkee (In Defense of Animals, Nicole Taylor (former New Orleanian) and Stephanie Shrum (former New Orleanian) will discuss their experiences living and working in New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina.
Live music by the Oz Street Fossils.
