AN 8 CAR CTA TRAIN TURNED INTO AN EXHIBITION SPACE!!! COME TAKE A RIDE ON A TRAIN FILLED WITH ARTWORK!!! Art On Track is an innovative way to unite and expand the art community in Chicago. By installing art on an 8 car CTA train, we're providing local artists and galleries an opportunity to come together, exchange ideas and exhibit art in an unconventional way. Two train cars are reserved for local, independent Chicago artists and the rest of the train will be occupied by local galleries. Participating galleries include: The Flat Iron Artists Group, Quennect 4, The Silver Room, Peter Jones Studio/Gallery and Colibri Studio Gallery. Art On Track makes the mode of presenting art more akin to the act of making and experiencing it. This show aims to connect Chicago artists and ignite and elevate local art community. We plan to repeat Art On Track next year and, ideally, make it into an annual event, much like many other art festivals that so define Chicago. Entrance to Art On Track is at the Wabash / Adams "L" platform. Tickets on sale now and at the door Price: $5 (CTA fare waived). To Pre-purchase tickets, please visit the Art On Track website: www.chicagoartontrack.com
