On Friday, November 21st from 7 to 10 pm 3rd Ward will present their 3rd Solo Show Artist, Sean Fader . Judges Clay Rockefeller & Anita Durst selected Sean from hundreds of applicants to 3rd Ward's Fall Open Call . At his opening event, Mr. Fader will display pieces from his collection I want to Put You On, Tell Me How to Put You on, in which he appears zipped into the bodies of people whom he admires & covets. His seamless photographs are "counter-posed with messy, funny, uncomfortable, and charged psychological and intersubjective negotiations that make the work alluring and, ultimately, unsettling," says art historian David Getsy. Let Sean unsettle and entertain you with his life size photos during an evening of live music, complimentary cupcakes by Kumquat Cupcakery and Absinthe Libations by Pernod. RSVP gallery@3rdward.com.
