Inmates of the Hahns Jopkins psych ward, Nina and Anne rehearse their anti-abortion variety show as Maria from "The Sound of Music" and Founding Father George Washington. Every day at the same time the rehearsal is interrupted by Nina’s trip to the Treatment Room. When their doctors enter to observe, all hell breaks loose.
