Queens Girl†is a biting look at how to fit in with family while standing out in the crowd. The multimedia show has Lauren transforming into her confused mother, bitter sister, old-school grandparents, and some hard-coiffed Queens folk.
Driven to see what else is out there, Lauren breaks out of the outermost outer borough and floats through the ‘rugby years’ of New England college, discovers drag in San Francisco, and finally embraces her inner flamboyance at Bombay fashion week—coincidentally, all scenes where sexuality is reflected via hairstyle!
"Queens Girl" is being staged January 23, 29, 30 and 31 at midtown's Stage Left Studio. Lauren is just back from a two-month performance and modeling trip in Romeand is gearing up to bring her show out to San Francisco in February to perform with Michelle Tea.
