The Soviet-born singer and pianist Regina Spektor (left), from the Bronx, sings quirky, plaintive folk songs about love and truth. (“And on the radio, you hear ‘November Rain’/That solo’s awful long, but it’s a good refrain,” she trills in “On the Radio.”) Ms. Spektor’s wit and wobbly, entrancing vocals transcend the work of many of her anti-folk peers. At 8 p.m., Beacon Theater, 2124 Broadway, at 74th Street, (212) 307-7171, beacontheatrenyc.com; $37.50 to $44.50.
