"Double Down" is an all-ladies alley cat style race taking place on Saturday, July 11th. Registration begins at 4:30pm at the capitol, and the race begins at 6pm. The race has a Las Vegas/gambling theme, so come dressed up because there will be prizes for the best costumes, as well as several other racing categories. Fast Folks Cyclery (2513 E 6th St.) will be hosting the after party/award ceremony starting around 8pm, complete with beer, food, and a few great surprises. Registration for the race is $5, and admittance to the after party for non-racers will be $5, the proceeds of which will go to support the Austin Yellow Bike Project. Racers should bring a lock, a bag/backpack, money, a bathing suit, and water.
