Violence Unmasked: the Men Behind the Abuse
Thursday, May 27 at 6:30 pm

You’ve read the headlines, now hear the truth. We have been deluged by news about high profile domestic violence cases: the Patterson cover-up, White Plains mayor Adam Bradley, ex-Senator Hiram Monserrate, and singer Chris Brown. Yet, relationship violence is a reality for thousands of women each day. Join us for a panel discussion focused on understanding the men who abuse, how to prevent domestic violence among youth and in our communities, and how NOW-NYC is working to strengthen domestic violence laws. You’ll learn about the most innovative preventative programs for youth and treatment programs for abusive men.

Panel features:
·         Phyllis B. Frank, Director, VCS Domestic Violence program for Men, Lead Contributor to the NY Model for Batterer Programs & President, Rockland County Chapter of NOW
·         Stephanie Nilva, Esq., Executive Director, Day One
·         Dan Goodman, Program Coordinator, Choices, Fordham & Tremont
·         Moderator: Sonia Ossorio, Executive Director, NOW-NYC

RSVP:   212.627.9895 | contact@nownyc.org
Event Location: 150 W. 28th St. #304 @ 7th Avenue, NYC
Subway: 1, R, W, 6 to 28th St. | B, D, F, V, Q, N, A, C, 2, 3 to 34th St.
