On Friday, February 4th, 2011, The Flesh Hungry Dog Show presents what could be its most outrageous show to date as nationally touring burlesque super-troupers Super Happy Fun Time Burlesque bring their unique, gender-bending, and mind twisting spectacle to our stage. The evening opens with a set from Stella and the Heat Birds. DJ Sky spins between the bands, and Chicago rock impresario Gary Airedale hosts.

The Flesh Hungry Dog Show starts at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4th, 2011 at Jackhammer (773-743-5772), 6406 N. Clark St. in Chicago. Jackhammer is a 21+ venue. Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 online at www.fleshhungrydog.com. 

The mission of The Flesh Hungry Dog Show is to bring live rock and related musical forms to Chicago's gay community, and to provide a fun, alternative venue for bands with GLBT content and members, and bands that are GLBT supportive. 

Super Happy Fun Time Burlesque 
Super Happy Funtime has shocked prudes, titillated priests, and thrilled music lovers for over six years in western Michigan, Chicago, and across the country. With sexy dancers (of sometimes dubious gender) in pasties shimmying and swaying to a smoking live band, the group puts on the best show in town. The extravaganzas also include comedians, magicians, stilt-walkers, and shocking characters. Going to a Super Happy Funtime show brings back the best of vaudeville and burlesque entertainment, you will be titillated one moment, shocked the next, and amazed after that! 

Heat Birds 
Stella and the Heat Birds is an acoustic ensemble with an eclectic mix of vocal and musical styles. With instrumentation that is a hallmark of true Chicago Alt/Americana outfits, the Heat Birds incorporate clarinet, trombone, ukulele, accordion, and upright bass into their performances. Led by sultry jazz vocalist Stella, they seamlessly merge American musical styles of the past one hundred years and make them their own. They have performed at Scott Free's ALT Q festival, and have opened for Ruthie Foster at the Old Town School of Folk Music, and Etta James and Melissa Ferrick at Milwaukee Pridefest.
