Apollonia Productions brings you VATIC- a visionary masterpiece of concert and commercial dance
Hot on the heels of their sold out dance sensation, Cy.clo.thy.mi.a, Apollonia Productions returns to the Manhattan Movement and Art Center's (MMAC) state-of-the-art theatre in New York to present VATIC - a brand new visionary show debuting this March 23-25.
Led by an international cast of seasoned dancers, the performance features choreography from Artistic Director, Dana Foglia (Assistant Choreographer and personal trainer for Beyonce on the I Am... 2009 Tour) and guest choreographer Joanna Numata (Beyonce, Fergie, Black Eyed Peas). A visual masterpiece, VATIC captivates the audience with a mix of concert and commercial dance infused with 'cirque du soleil' like acrobatics - a performance that has to be seen to be believed.
Cinematic and etherial, expect to see movement that swings between elevated staccato hits and brooding, sensual writhing, blending hip hop and contemporary dance styles with a little of everything in between. Playing on the show's title "VATIC" ("to describe or predict what will happen in the future") the production's fourteen dancers are persuasive in telling their story, searching for the meaning of what's to come and inevitably finding out they already know the answer.
"In a music performance, the singer is generally the star. VATIC elevates the dancer to that next level." says Apollonia Productions Director, Apolla Echino. "In VATIC, the dancer is the star."
A project that has brought together the next biggest names in the dance and entertainment world, VATIC aims to pull you out of your seat, heighten your senses and most importantly - entertain you!
Prepare Yourself. Sexy. Thrilling. Tantalizing. Captivating.
This is VATIC. The next level.
