Their parents abandoned them, the Witch caught them and the bird ate ... well, collected their rhinestones. Are they going to end in sex trafficking ring or will they find a way out of the enchanted forest? When all seems lost will they find hope?
An exciting new comedy that lampoons contemporary politics, questions our complacency and brings this old tale to life.This new work by JZ Sinanovic, the ex-Yugoslavian ex-patriot, is a witty satire of U.S. economic situation and blends burlesque, drag and a bit of good old stage magic. While it is inspired by the original Hansel and Gretel, this play brings us all the opportunity to laugh at ourselves while we take a fresh look at our humanity. Get ready for the night of laughter and bawdiness. Starring: Sweet Lorraine as Gretel, Nicolette Dixon as Hansel, Jessica Cermak as the Witch, Lorraine La Prade as Raven, Anja Keister as Mom and Sir Real as Dad. Note: This production may not be suitable for children.
