In this training, participants will explore basic gender and sexual orientation terminology and broaden their awareness of how homophobia and heterosexism negatively affect all youth.  Participants will also discuss techniques for creating a safe afterschool environment inclusive and respectful of all genders and sexual orientations. Trainers: Amanda Perez, M.P.H. & Lauren Porsch, M.P.H., CHES

This event is a part of the Planned Parenthood of New York City annual Spring 2011 Training Institute that includes training, forums and webinars on sexual and reproductive health. These training sessions are a valuable resource for health professionals and anyone who wants to learn and remain knowledgeable on sexual and reproductive health issues.

All trainings take place at Planned Parenthood of New York City, 26 Bleecker Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10012.
