SIRENA MARI MERCADO "NEPTUNE RISING" Sirena is mostly known for her musical talent. She has been a performer around the JC / NY area for over 4 years. She also helps to run Grassroots and Downtown Live. Sirena is co-founder of Sirelo Entertainment along with her husband Chelo. She is currently promoting her Debut CD "Ocean's Aphrodite" available on ITunes, Amazon, and other online music stores. Sirena now surprises us by presenting her latest passion... painting. Sirena learned to paint while in school for Graphic Design, but she left the basics for technology. After her supplies and some of her work was lost in a flood that affected Grassroots last year, she continued to put painting aside, though it was something she always wanted to get back to. Recently she made a trip to the art store and began to "purge in color" as she called it. She also shares with us that her first two pieces came to her in a dream. "NEPTUNE RISING" is a collection of 12 pieces inspired by her favorite subject, the ocean.
