The organization FAIR Girls and the United Nations are commemorating the proclamation that gives DC girls more opportunities with the first annual International Day of the Girl! If you’re in the DC area, or can be, on October 10, be sure to join in the festivities that celebrate the girls of DC and the world. There will be performances by talented young women from all over the city, including 13-year-old activist and actress, Victoria Pannell. The event will showcase youth performing arts groups, as well as the achievements, stories, and talents of local girls. October 10
