Named after a song performed by both The Raincoats and The Slits, "Adventures Close to Home" is a celebration of local feminist zine culture presented by the organizers of the first annual NYC Feminist Zinefest!
This event will feature readings from five NYC-based zinesters- Jordan Alam (Hairstory, Letters to Self) Kate Angell (My Feminist Friends, A Thousand Times Yes), Elvis Bakaitis (Homos in Herstory, Twinks for Sale), Daniela Capistrano (POC Zine Project, Bad Mexican!!), and Rachel Levy (Hoax, Reimagining Queer Community). Zines will be available for purchase. Location
