If Clue was set in a Brooklyn loft space inhabited by beings caught between the court of Louis XIV and the runways of New York Fashion Week, you might just begin to get a taste of what is to come in Company XIV’s newest theatrical/dance event La Fête. Directed and choreographed by Austin McCormick, La Fête is a deliciously decadent murderous masquerade where the audience becomes the privileged guests at a depraved and debaucherous fête, where intrigue lies around every twist and turn, and no one is who they really seem. This neo-Baroque entertainment features live music by Beatbox Guitar, opera singer Brett Umlauf, accordionist Raphael Fusco and torch singer Shien Lee. |
