Last month, everyone's favorite dance-punk band Gossip released "Perfect World", the first track off their newest album A Joyful Noise. With it's electro-disco vibes, the catchy tune finds the band sounding poppier than ever before. Check out the brand new music video for "Perfect World" here:

 

 Directed by Price James, the video (shot in a London medieval church) draws inspiration from sources as varied as Renaissance paintings and the Wizard of Oz. 

 A Joyful Noise is a new direction for the band who is as well-known for constant reinvention as they are for their live performances.  Vocalist Beth Ditto claims to have, "spent the whole year listening to ABBA and not listening to the radio," which explains the infectious poppy energy driving the album. 

 Gossip will be playing NYC's Terminal 5 on May 22, the date A Joyful Noise is set to drop. Tickets are on sale today
