I am a designer that likes to sew, paint, cook, bake and create. I have lived all over the US and travelling inspires me.
Vernon Avenue is a creative venture after many dreams, aspirations and out of pure necessity. I specialize in handcrafted handbags made from new, vintage and recycled materials. I also specialize in finding unique and fabulous vintage handbags, as well. All handmade bags are unique, original and in limited edition. The vintage handbags are cleaned carefully and in great condition, unless noted or pictured.
My adoration for handbags began with my grandmothers Julia Belle, Elizabeth and my mother Michelle. The beauty, craftmanship and design of vintage handbags are amazing. And there began the collection and intrique.
My inspirations mostly come from travel, family and everyday happenings and a general sum of my experiences
I have been sewing, crafting and designing since a I was a child. I have been making bags for friends, family and small boutiques for about six years. I decided to follow my own dreams and be my own employee. And if you get this far reading, please wish me well!
