FAQ- BUST London Christmas Craftacular Print

What is the BUST Christmas Craftacular?

BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular is a shopping bonanza running from 12pm until 6pm at York Hall in London’s East End, featuring over 60 crafters, DJs, drinks and dancing. There’ll be DIY crafting activities going on throughout the day alongside the stalls laden with hundreds of the best handmade gifts and indie wares: from handbags and clothing to jewellery and cards. Shoppers will also have the chance to win in the Craftacular Raffle, chock-full of a BUST-load of booty! The first 100 attendees through the door score a special goodie bag. Copies of BUST will be on hand as well as the opportunity to snag a BUST subscription for a very special holiday price.

When and where will BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular take place?

The BUST Christmas Craftacular will take place on Sunday December 16 from 12pm till 6pm at York Hall, Bethnal Green, London.

Where is York Hall?

York Hall is located at 5-15 Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green, London E2 9PJ, just 2 minutes from Bethnal Green Tube Station, opposite the V&A Museum of Childhood.

How do I participate as a vendor?

All the vendor spaces for the December 16 Craftacular have now been filled.

How will the vendors be determined?

Due to space limitations, vendors will be selected on the basis of quality and uniqueness of wares, as well as to gather a good mix of products.

What type of booths will be provided?

Your booth fee of £70 will get you one approx 6ft by 3ft table and two chairs. You can also apply a half-table space at a cost of £45. There may be floor-standing rack space around your table, but there is no guarantee of this, so please note space requirements on your application. Booth fees will be accepted online.

Can I share a table?

Yes. For an extra cost of £20 (a total table cost of £90), two vendors can share a table and apply together in the same vendor application. We charge extra for this because the web advertising you will receive on BUST.com is so valuable.

What kind of crafts do you accept?

We’re looking for any and all edible/wearable/loveable crafts you’ve got. That includes silk-screened items, cosmetics, knitwear, jewellery, paper goods, handbags, cards and tons more!

How will set-up and closing operate?

Vendors can arrive at York Hall no earlier than 10:30am on Sunday December 16, but must arrive no later than 11:30am. Vendors must be ready to begin sales promptly at 12pm and cannot close before 6pm.

Is electricity provided?

Yes, but it is limited. Please outline your needs on the application form.

Do I need a vendor’s permit?

You are responsible for registering your small business and collecting tax for the items you are selling.

How will BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular be promoted?

BUST Magazine's Christmas Craftacular will be promoted with postcards, posters, e-mail blasts to local and national mailing lists, press releases, advertising placement on craft websites and listings in local press.

BUST will also provide all vendors with banner ads to help get the word out.

What kinds of information will be listed on BUST Magazine's Craftacular website?

In addition to the online vendor application and FAQs, BUST Magazine's Holiday Craftacular website will list all participating vendors. Once you are notified of your acceptance, please provide us with gif or jpeg banner of your craft company logo. Banner ads should be 120 pixels wide x 60 pixels tall. Banners may animate, but cannot be in flash format. No java script. Please keep banner under 50 k. And be sure to let us know where to link the banner. Banner ads should be emailed to apply-craftacular-uk@bust.com as soon as you have been accepted.
