FAQ Welcome to BUST Magazine’s 2008 Spring Fling Craftacular! After 3 years of enormously successful Holiday Craftaculars, BUST is ready to bust into Spring properly with our first ever Springtime craft fair and 90s themed dance! We’re bringing the party back to Brooklyn with over 50 vendors, DJs, dancing, and drinks. What is BUST Magazine's Spring Fling Craftacular? BUST Magazine's Spring Fling Craftacular is a craft fair and 90s themed dance from 11am until 9pm at the Warsaw in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, featuring over 50 crafters, DJs, drinks, and dancing. When and where will BUST Magazine's Spring Fling Craftacular take place? The Craftacular will take place on Sunday, April 27 from 11 AM – 9 PM at the Warsaw, 261 Driggs Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. How do I get to the Warsaw? By train: Take the L to Bedford Avenue, walk north on Driggs. How do I participate as a vendor? 1. Fill out our online vendor application, which can be found here. Applications will only be accepted online and must be submitted by March 30, 2008. 2. Checks and money orders should be made payable to BUST Magazine (78 Fifth Avenue, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10011, Attention: BUST Spring Fling Craftacular 2008) and must be postmarked by March 26, 2008 for your application to be considered. We will notify all applicants on Tuesday April 1, 2008 of their status. If you are accepted as a vendor, your deposit will go towards the full booth fee of $225 due by April 11, 2008. All application fees are non-refundable. How will the vendors be determined? Due to space limitations, vendors will be selected on the basis of quality and uniqueness of wares. What type of booths will be provided? Your booth fee of $225 will get you one 6 x 3 table and two chairs. There may be a small amount of floor-standing rack space around your table, but there is no guarantee of this. Please make sure to plan accordingly. Booth fees will be accepted online. Checks and money orders for the remaining booth fee should be made payable to BUST magazine and must be postmarked by April 11, 2008. Is my application fee refundable? Can I share a table? Yes. For an extra cost of $50 (a total table cost of $275), two vendors can share a table. If you do so, please apply together in the same vendor application. We charge extra for this because the web advertising you will receive on BUST.com is so valuable. What kind of crafts do you accept? We’re looking for any and all edible/wearable/loveable crafts you’ve got. That includes silk-screened items, cosmetics, knitwear, jewelry, paper goods, handbags, cards, and tons more! Will there be food/drinks available? Yes! The Warsaw serves delicious Polish food and provides a full bar. How will set-up and closing operate? Vendors can arrive at the Warsaw as early as 9 AM the morning of Sunday April 27 but must arrive no later than 10AM. Vendors must be ready to begin sales promptly at 11AM and cannot close before 9PM. Is electricity provided? Electricity is not provided at The Warsaw. Do I need a vendor’s permit? You are responsible for registering your small business with the IRS and collecting sales tax for the items you are selling. We recommend that you call New York's Department of Revenue and the IRS for more information. You can access the PDF forms here. BUST Magazine's Spring Fling Craftacular will be promoted with postcards, posters, e-mail blasts to local and national mailing lists, press releases, advertising placement on craft websites, and listings in local press. BUST will also provide all vendors with banner ads to help get the word out on BUST Magazine's Spring Fling Craftacular. What kinds of information will be listed on BUST Magazine's Spring Fling Craftacular website? In addition to the online vendor application and FAQs, BUST Magazine's Spring Fling Craftacular website will list all participating vendors. Once you are notified of your acceptance, please provide us with gif or jpeg banner of your craft company logo. Banner ads should be 120 pixels wide x 60 pixels tall. Banners may animate, but cannot be in flash format. No java script. Please keep banner under 50 k. And be sure to let us know where to link the banner.
