My Summer Odd Job: Art Model	N/A	I got my gig through an art center near my hometown, and I found out they were in need of models through a little research. Art schools are your best bet because they're always looking for new models (who'd want to draw the same model for a whole semester?). There are also artists looking for private models (which can be tricky), but I recommend sticking to legit institutions when you're starting out. Search through the schools' websites (especially their job opportunities sections), ask your art school friends, and keep an eye out for community/school bulletin boards. Sorry for the vague advice, but when it comes down to it you just need to do some research and pursue the opportunity when it comes. G'luck, girl!
My Summer Odd Job: Art Model	N/A	coffeegirl18, with most schools the figures are either completely nude or mostly clothed. I personally haven't drawn from bikini/underwear-clad models (though I'm sure they're out there), so you may want to just shoot for clothed gigs if you're not comfortable being totally nude. Or, take a chance and ask the professor/director!
My Summer Odd Job: Art Model	N/A	Male models? Erections? YES. I had this one model who couldn't go through a session without popping at least a halfie. The worst part was that he often made eye contact with the students. Most of the time, I think it's a nervous thing, with lots of people staring at you and all.
Sensitive Girl Pit Problems: Dealing with Hair Haters	N/A	hollylujaah, I totally agree. If a girl likes to shave and feels her best and most confident a little (or all) hairless, then she shouldn't give a hoot what anyone thinks. I certainly wouldn't yell "EWWWW" at a girl who shaves regularly. "I'm not even going to go NEAR the acrobatic contortions needed to de-fuzz a muff." ^ I love this. And can relate.
My Dog Freckles: Losing a Friend and Family Member	N/A	Tracyene, that meatball story is ridiculous, I'm going to tell my family that one. My condolences to all of you who have lost a beloved pet. And Erikah, as I wrote above, I definitely had a lot of premature fears concerning Freckles. But don't let those thoughts get to you....go play with your kickass dogs!!
