Hillary Clinton is So Much More Than Just a Secretary, You Jackhole PDF Print E-mail

He Who Shall Not Be Named questioned Hillary Clinton's validity after she was named one of TIME's most influential people. This is her 6th time to make the list and her second time to be honored for her work as Secretary of State. It's well-earned, too, considering to date she has spent 1,647.4 hours (that's 68.6 days) traveling to 95 countries on behalf of our nation.

I won't go into the blatant misogyny behind his immature claims that "all she is  is a secretary" when she happens to hold one of the most esteemed positions in federal government, because that's what he wants us to do.

Instead, I'll give him an honest answer to his question: What has Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accomplished?

In 2009, Newsweek ranked her the 13th most powerful person in the world and America's most powerful woman. She also received the Global Trailblazer award from Vital Voices Global Partnership for her commitment to promoting women's rights. That same year she received honorary Doctor of Law degrees from Yale University and New York University, as well as a spot on TIME's 100 most influential people in the world. In 2010, Clinton was given the George McGovern Leadership Award by the World Food Programme for her work to end global hunger and TIME named her one of the top 25 most powerful women of the past century. In 2009, 2010, and 2011, Clinton was named by Americans in Gallup's most admired man and woman poll as the most admired woman in the world, which ain't no thang since she's been holding it down year after year since 1993 with occasional concessions to Mother Theresa, Oprah, and Laura Bush. In 2011, Secretary Clinton was given the George C. Marshall Foundation Award for her years of selfless service in the public sector.

Plus she's chummy with Amy Poehler!

Sorry I'm not sorry for loving Hillary Clinton.  She's an empowering inspiration to women everywhere. Oh, maybe that's why Rush is so afraid of her?
