Junior Prom Joins Summer Tour W/ Bear Hands & Total Slacker (USA) ( 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm )

Brooklyn-based music duo Junior Prom announce a string of dates with post-punk indie-rock band Bear Hands this summer in support of their self-titled, written, and produced debut EP, ‘JUNIOR PROM,’ out now on Elektra Records. Their single “Sheila Put The Knife Down’ reads like an artist statement for the band: It's an upbeat dance tune that dirties up the glittery surface of pop” (REFINERY 29) and is taking over airwaves on alternative radio across the countryincluding a recent #1 placement on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation. FESTIVAL D’ÉTÉ DE QUÉBEC Starts (Quebec City) ( All Day )

The 47th Festival d’été de Québec—Canada’s largest outdoor music event and one of North America’s most important summer celebrations—will present some 1,000 artists from July 3 to 13 in historically picturesque Québec City. The Festival will offer more than 300 performances in 10 unique indoor and outdoor venues over the course of 11 days, from intimate blues to after-hours electro shows to rock and pop superstars on North America’s biggest outdoor stage—the Bell stage, on the Plains of Abraham.

The world-class 2014 roster will showcase a wide range of artists that includes A$AP Rocky, Cypress Hill, The Kills, Local Natives, Young the Giant, Tegan and Sara, The Bloody Beetroots, Gogol Bordello, Gary Clark Jr., Daniel Lanois, Phantogram, Jake Bugg, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, The Pretty Reckless, The Crystal Method, Vintage Trouble, Serena Ryder, John Mayall and hundreds of others from around the globe.

Behind The Velvet Curtain ( 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm )

Step Behind The Velvet Curtain and enter a world of glamorous women, dashing men, and indulgent cocktails, delighting your senses with a mix of burlesque, circus feats, and other hedonistic spectacles. Beauty Bar NYC and Bettina May are teaming up to bring you a night of sultry burlesque and amazing variety acts on the first Monday of the month. Each show will feature a different lineup of top NYC entertainers as well as the world's best touring performers, all in an intimate cabaret setting in the private back room of Beauty Bar on 14th Street in Manhattan. Get there early to secure a seat and enjoy live entertainment up close and personal.

The next show will be Monday, July 7th starring Bettina May, British Bombshell now hailing from Miami Aurora Natrix, flexible beauty Harvest Moon, Poison Ivory and hosted by Shelly The Singing Siren. Come early to indulge in Beauty Bar's famous Martini and Manicure before the show, with drinks being served in the front bar by foxy showgirl Anna Copacabanna. The show is free with a drink in hand!
