All of my wildest dreams just came true. Hillary Clinton and Pussy Riot have united and will now take the world by storm.

Okay, maybe they aren’t plotting world domination, but at least they have met and are now definitely friends. The controversial Russian pop duo Pussy Riot posed with Clinton backstage at Tina Brown’s Women in the World Summit last week, and it renewed my faith in humanity.

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina of Pussy Riot were imprisoned for over two years after being convicted of “hooliganism” and inciting religious hatred for performing an anti-Putin punk song in a Moscow cathedral. Luckily these badasses are now free to roam again, and they of course have plenty to say.

The duo attended the Women in the World Summit to discuss and confront the oppression they experienced in Russia as feminists and prisoners. Check out their awesomeness below:

Clinton’s advice to would-be politicians is, “If you get into politics, you have to grow a skin as thick as the rhinoceros because it can be very painful if you're not prepared - you're going to be subjected to all these criticisms.” Clinton has clearly found kindred spirits in Pussy Riot’s enduring and feisty troublemakers.

Promptly after the meeting, Clinton tweeted the photo below, along with a caption that makes my feminist heart sing. Fingers crossed we will see lots more from these powerful women in the coming years, both as advocates and politicians (here’s looking at you in 2016, President Clinton).
