It was really nice how she was upfront about the abortion with people. I think it's a shame that women feel like they have to keep it a big secret. I mean, you obviously CAN keep it a secret, but you do not have to. I loved that she called her mother. When I had an abortion I told my mother too. Though she is very adamantly pro-life, and I don't regret it. I think it made me feel closer to her because even though she doesn't agree with it, she supported me and my decision. I think a part of me would have felt less connected to her if she didn't know. And I firmly believe that letting the people that are close to me know abut my abortion changes the way they see it. Some people only care that abortion is safe and legal when they care about the person having one. PS Sandra, abortion doesn't have to be the end of the world.
