Last night was the series finale of Scrubs . In this intern's humble opinion, it went out well. It managed to celebrate its 8-year run but it didn't sacrifice characters or formula for the sake of sentimentality. Beatrice (Bea) Arthur, known best as tall, deep husky-voiced and witty characters Maude, by the 70s sitcom of the same name, and Dorothy Zbornak on the 80s sitcom The Golden Girls, sadly passed away this weekend of cancer at the age of 86. She will be missed. Arthur was an accomplished actress, comedienne and singer. She won Emmys for both Maude and The Golden Girls, and a Tony Award for her work in the Broadway musical Mame.
