The U.S. senate gets an A+ this week for confirming former Arizona U.S. Attorney, Diane Humetewa, as the first-ever Native American woman to hold the position of Federal Judge. Wonderful news (for me and, I think, humanity)! Proposition 8, the human-rights violation of a California law that tried to deny same-sex couples the right to marry, has been deemed unconstitutional by a federal appeals court. That court's decision came after it spent a whole year hearing arguments from both sides. It now looks like Prop 8 may be on its way to the Supreme Court.
