Growing up in the late 60s, one of my feminist heroes was Batgirl from the Batman TV show. The character Barbara Gordon, librarian by day, quickly morphed into her alter ego Batgirl when trouble arose. Perhaps there are some of you out there who, like me, still don't quite know what "zine" means. No worries, here's a quick explanation: "zine" (pronounced zeehn) is short for magazine, but that doesn't fully capture the spirit of a zine.
