Leymah Gbowee just might be the most insanely awesome woman you've never heard of. She's at the core of a new documentary called Pray the Devil Back to Hell that chronicles the titanic strength and ingenuity of the thousands of Liberian women who organized in the 1990's and in 2003 to bring an end to civil war in their country. Armed only with white t-shirts and the desperate desire to bring about change, the women marched and sang, organized a sex strike, demanded ... Read More

(500) Days of Summer

BY Lisa in General |

It's not very often the male and female leads in a movie are equally crush-worthy, making the sum of both parts totally off the swoon charts. Well, I got a sneak peek at (500) Days of Summer and lemme tell you what, it's hard to decide where to rest your eyes cause the cuteness between Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a constant battle. These do it yourself pools are then placed in backyards and other empty spaces for all to enjoy free of charge. This is perfect for the summertime and ... Read More

This is also incidentally Barrymore's directorial debut and the screenplay has been penned by Shauna Cross herself. There needs to be more female director/writer movies and not ... Read More
