It all started with a vagina.
Earlier this spring, a Facebook support group directed towards moms posted a picture of an anatomically correct vulva. The group boasted a readership of around 22,000, and the image was clearly meant for education, empowerment, and advocacy. It fell in line with the other discussion topics on Motherwise – which writes about “breastfeeding, parenting issues, and birthing options,” as well as serving as a ... Read More

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s the most exposed of them all?
Glasgow’s Shimmy Club is recently garnering some much-deserved criticism for installing one-way mirrors, also known as two-way mirrors, in women’s bathrooms so that male customers can receive a peep show.
In order to catch a look at these unsuspecting women’s reflections, clubgoers are required to buy a private booth for the night, aptly titled “Smoke and Mirrors,” which can go up to ... Read More

In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Break.com, a site where you and all your bros can look at hilarious videos and hot chicks, sent an idiotic email promoting rape culture to sex writer and educator, Lux Alptraum. She posted the clumsy email, sent by Andy Signore of Break Media, on her Tumblr. He says he is “oddly proud” of a new ScreenJunkies episode, though it “takes a turn for the rapey.”
He proceeds to describe the video, which ... Read More

To be clear, he believes that if a woman doesn’t put up a fight when attacked, then technically, yes, it is rape, but not “a real, live criminal case.”Let me explain. Back in 2008 Judge ... Read More
