On the list of badass villainesses, Maleficent from Disney's animated Sleeping Beauty ranks pretty high. Needless to say, I couldn't be more stoked she's getting a "her side of the story" treatment in a live-action film scheduled for release next year. Based on Disney's description of the film, it already sounds way cooler than you were just thinking:
