Unfortunately, the world of sports is one that is riddled with sexism - especially the world of my favorite (and the world's favorite) sport, soccer. The current president of FIFA, Sepp Blatter, is infamous for his sexist stances in regards to the game. Finally, FIFA, the international governing body of soccer, has lifted its infamous ban on headscarves. The ban, created due to “safety concerns,” was instituted in 2007.
