Lena Dunham's world domination continues! There is no escape! The notorious Anna Wintour is reportedly courting her for an upcoming Vogue cover. Now, Dunham is about to be peering down at you from every newsstand on the block.  Normally, this would be pretty exciting shtuff. Lena is great and Vogue is fun to read in the bathtub while you're pretending you have money--it's a win-win! But Wintour's 'tude is turning this whole thing into a ... Read More
Blogs like The Gloss and Slate have already started calling attention to (read: shitting on) a Vogue shoot featured in the magazine’s February issue. The shoot shows top models posing with various Hurricane Sandy relief and emergency workers, such as members of the Coast Guard and a group of firemen. This was only my second time ever seeing a show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week so the giddiness, excitement, and newness of everything was definitely still there. Last season, I was lucky enough to see ADAM, but this season, I was beyond excited to see the always elegant Carolina Herrera. Thankfully the show was running a bit late because there was just so much to take in...the lights, the atmosphere, the photographers, the stylish attendees..like oh..I ... I don’t really know much about fashion. Nor do I read Vogue, but when my school (Pratt Institute) announced that Anna Wintour would be the speaker for this year’s Presidential Lecture, I knew I had to go, if only to say I’d gotten to see her speak. Last year, I got to see the absolutely wonderful Martha Stewart give a lecture as part of the same series (which, when I relayed the details of said lecture to my father, he decided that I, much to his ...
